Best Smartphones in the new Samsung Galaxy A-Series 2020
1. Galaxy A51
NepaliTelecom reported that the Samsung Galaxy A51 is the world’s best-selling smartphone in Q1 2020. And there are many reasons why this Galaxy A-Series phone has deserved this spot. This is the said successor of the beloved A50. However, there are many notable improvements when those 2 phones are compared side by side. Since there is no fingerprint reader on the back, and the only thing on the rear of the phone is the camera bump, it comes with a unique finish – an accent on the back that gives it a premium feel, playing in the light. There is an Infinity-O panel in the front, meaning that the display is mostly notchless and bezzelless – only with a small round cutout for the front camera. It seems like this kind of display is becoming a signature look for Samsung lately. Specs:
Body: Gorilla Glass 3 – front, polycarbonate – back + frameScreen: 6.5inch AMOLED, Full HD+Cameras: 48MP Primary + Ultra-wide 12MP + Macro 5MP – Rear, 32MP -FrontChipset: Exynos 9611 octa-core CPU, Mali-G72 MP3 GPUMemory: 4-6/64-128 GB; up to 1TB expansionOS: Android 10 + Samsung One UI 2.0Battery: 4000mAhUnder-display fingerprint readerBottom Loudspeaker
This device performs well in most areas. While this device has a lot of competition for its price, it has some key features that are hard to beat. Despite its huge display and lightness, it still packs a 4000mAh battery. Also, there are improvements in the camera area, even though it’s not all perfect. The OS is up to date, it has nice features – there are little things to complain about!
2. Samsung Galaxy A71
This device isn’t released yet, so we’re relying on leaked information – therefore take everything with a grain of salt. This device seems to be the big brother of the A51. But is bigger equal to better? Let’s see! When it comes to design, there are lots of similarities to the A51. The back is different, as there are no light-playing accents, just the Samsung logo, and minimal design – that is quite pleasing to the eye. It’s made of the same plastic for the rear and the frame, and for the display, it’s also Gorilla Glass 3. So no major differences here. When it comes to the specs, as compared to the A51, the display is a bit bigger – 6.7inch, the camera sensors are quite similar. However, battery life is improved to 45000mAh, since the slightly bigger size. As for the CPU, the A71 packs a Snapdragon 730 with 6-8/128GB memories. Of course, for this phone to be in the mid-range price, some cuts had to be made – no wireless charging, and possibly no HDR content. Stay tuned for more updates on this device! It’s said to be released in the first quarter of 2020.
3. Samsung Galaxy A90
Again, this smartphone wasn’t released either, so we are still relying on leaks and speculation. But, if the A71 was the big brother of A51, this is the more powerful one. Let’s see how they match in a comparison! For the design, we have the same Infinity-O display that seems to be on all the phones in this A-series. Nothing special so far. However, unfortunately, this is what we know so far about the design. How about the specs? Well, what’s different from the other models is the CPU – a Snapdragon 855, with 8/128 memory. With the same battery life as the A71, we can certainly say that it is more powerful and can handle more tasks and/or games thrown at it. The display is also 6.7inches, the camera sensors are rumored to be the same. But we can’t say anything for sure at this point! Stay tuned for more updates on this device! In our opinion, these three smartphones are the most notable ones in the Samsung Galaxy new 2020 A-series, with the A51 being already released and the A71 and the A91 being rumored to be slightly improved versions of it.
