Generally speaking, we pay a lot of cash for software and games on other platforms, but we are usually shy to spend money on Android games and apps. We don’t spend a lot because we can get a lot of apps and games that are, on the surface, very similar for absolutely free. However, spending a little bit of cash will allow you access to some of the best Android apps ever made. Back when they launched Android, I used to rely on free apps a lot. It probably had to do with odd payment methods that only catered to the US and Europe markets. Thankfully, the Android crew and Google started offering local payment methods for other countries as well. They also introduced localized prices so that people from Third World countries will be able to purchase paid apps easily. When these changes happened, I was introduced to some best Android apps for $3 and really enjoyed using them. This list is about those great apps that you can purchase for an extremely reasonable price and will offer you a lot in return. So without further ado, let’s start with the 10 best Android apps for $3 list. Note: I tested the 10 best Android apps for $3 on a couple of devices including Samsung Galaxy Note 3, LG G4, and Sony Xperia Z1 smartphones. The apps worked fine, and there were no problems during the testing phase. Some of the apps have been on my personal smartphones for quite some time, and they performed exceptionally well, you’ll have no problems running these apps on your Android devices. Some apps may need an active Internet connection to provide full features. Due to their vastly different nature, the apps are not in any particular order.

1. 7 Minute Workout Challenge

Conclusion

These are a few great Android apps for $3 readily available on the Google Play Store. Each one of them offers something different from the other and will surely enrich your Android experience. Regardless of my personal fitness failures, the app gives you a great design and helps you gain physical fitness in short bursts of time. There are male and female trainers available that help you through video, audio, text and images. Everything is included in the package and is already downloaded on the device, so you don’t need to purchase anything additional or even need an active Internet connection. It’s an inexpensive app that will help you gain great physical condition by spending only around 10 minutes daily. Paid Version

2. Greenify

If your Android device is slowly becoming sluggish and is not holding a charge for long, this is the app you should get. The app helps you by identifying the apps that are misbehaving on your device and helps you tame them. Getting some control over these apps will result in a much smoother and stable Android experience without actually affecting the battery life at all. Another great thing about this app is that it is available for free on Android. That’s right, the paid version is actually a donation version that helps the development of the app, you can spend around 1 buck to help the generous developers. The free version is unrestricted and comes with full features. Free Version

3. Unified Remote Full

Essentially it helps you navigate your PC while sitting on your bed or couch. I use this app when I have hooked my gaming PC to the big TV. This allows me to launch different applications or even check social media on the big screen without the need of purchasing a separate wireless mouse. I use an Xbox One controller along with The PlayStation Wireless Gold headset and enjoy PC gaming on the couch thanks to Unified Remote. The app works really well if you want to watch movies from your media PC as well. Free Version

4. Poweramp Full Version

It is one of the few apps I highly recommend to any Android newcomer. The relatively inexpensive Pro version of the app provides you with a whole slew of exciting features. From playing virtually almost any audio format to automatically downloading album art, Poweramp does everything you want from an Android music app. The app also comes with an amazing equalizer that allows you to customize the way you want your music to sound. 5. Nova Launcher Prime

Nova Launcher Prime is one of the best custom launchers for Android and has been constantly improving since the day I first installed it. The developers are very hard-working and have released countless updates to their launcher. This launcher is capable of delivering an amazing customization experience to your device. You can even use custom icon packs on the launcher with ease and change the whole look of your device. Almost every feature is available on the free version of Nova Launcher as well. However, if you want gesture support you’ll need to shell out a few dollars to gain the prime version of the app. We have also written an article about whether it’s worth it to purchase Nova Launcher Prime or not, check that out if you want more details about the launcher Free Version

6. Sleep Cycle Alarm Clock

There are certain periods of times when waking up will make you feel well rested. And then there are certain periods where you shouldn’t be woken up. Other alarm clocks simply go off at the set time regardless of your sleep cycle. This app uses the accelerometer in your smartphone to determine the best time to wake you up. The app detects your movements during sleep and gauges when to wake you up. It may sound like a gimmick but in practicality, this app is surprisingly accurate and can help you feel well rested. Paid Version

7. SD Maid Pro

The app cleaner feature helps you in cleaning app caches that are no longer necessary or critical to day-to-day usage. Another great feature is the ability to find duplicate files on your Android device and inform you of them. This works with any type of file that includes videos, pictures, and even documents. The app also ships with a great widget that allows you to access almost every function of the app right on the home screen. Free Version

8. Lux Auto Brightness

However, you might’ve noticed that the auto setting doesn’t really work when you’re out in the sun. Lux Auto Brightness helps you by adjusting the brightness of your screen according to the ambient light as well as other factors. An excessive blue hue over the screen is harmful to the eyes, especially over an extended period of usage. This app cancels that blue tint and gives the screen more natural and easy to look at temperature. You will also be able to adjust the temperature manually to gain a great color reproduction that doesn’t put a strain on your eyes. Removing the blue hue is also helpful for reading or using your Android before bed. Removing the blue will help you sleep better. Give it a try for a week and it will surprise you.
