I’ll show you three ways to create your Samsung account as painlessly as possible, and just in case, how to delete it. All of them will only take a few minutes of your time, and you don’t even need your phone for the first option.

Method 1: Creating a Samsung Account on a PC (Without Social Media)

On PC, account creation only takes a few minutes, and will save you more than a few hours of headache down the line. You can even complete the process through social media if you feel like linking account details. Personally, I prefer to keep my social media separate from other accounts, so I’ll show you how to make an account traditionally first.

Step 1:

On this new page, there are two options, but we’re only focusing on the first one so far. Ignore these two text fields, and click SIGN UP in the white box below the blue one.

Step 2:

On this new page, there are two options, but we’re only focusing on the first one so far. Ignore these two text fields, and click SIGN UP in the white box below the blue one.

Step 3:

This takes you to the sign-up process, but if you hate entering person info, you won’t like this. To complete the first step of the form, you need your:

First nameLast nameZip codePhone numberEmail addressDate of birth

After you’ve put in everything you need, and made a password, don’t click the blue SUBMIT button just yet. There’s a box right above it that’s checked automatically. If you don’t want Samsung to send you promotional emails, click this box to deselect it, then click SUBMIT.

Step 4:

If after clicking SUBMIT, you are redirected to a previous page, don’t worry, your Samsung account has still been created. You will receive an email (one of the only emails you’ll get if you left that box unchecked) detailing some of the benefits in your account. Now you can access your account from your PC at any time by visiting the Samsung Support page. Once you’ve confirmed your account is setup, register any Samsung devices you own to reap rewards (their words, not mine) with your new account.

Step 5:

Whenever you want to register a product, just click Register a new product on your account page. To register, you need to know your date of purchase, and serial number, so have them on hand. Once you’ve entered this information on the next screen, all of the benefits that come with a Samsung account are yours.

Method 2: Creating a Samsung Account on a PC (With Social Media)

As much as I don’t like linking social media account with other account, it does speed up sign-in process by a significant amount. By using an account like your Twitter or Facebook, you can sign up for a Samsung account in less than a flash, as long as you don’t mind Samsung going through your personal information.

Step 1:

First, visit this official Samsung page. This is where you can create an account in just a minute after connecting with a social media site.

Step 2:

Next, scroll down towards the bottom of the page until you see these symbols below. Here you can click any of these symbols to link a social media account to sign up for a Samsung account. For this example, I’m going to use Twitter.

Step 3:

After clicking the Twitter icon, you’re taken to an agreement. This agreement may be different depending on your residing country, but after accepting, you can complete the process and use your account as normal to register a device.

Step 4:

After creating your account, visit this Samsung page again to instead access your account details. Here you can register any Samsung device you have to access Samsung account rewards. Registration requires your device’s purchase date, and serial number, so please be aware of that.

Method 3: Creating a Samsung Account on Your Samsung Device

Thankfully, on Samsung devices you can create an account right from your phone or tablet. You don’t need to download anything, the setup process is right in your Settings, and is easy enough to only take a few minutes.

Step 1:

First, go to your Settings by either finding it in your App Drawer, or tapping the Settings wheel at the top of your screen depending on your version of Android.

Step 2:

In your Settings, go to your Personal tab, or Accounts tab, and look for “Accounts and sync.” In other version of Android, being on the Accounts tab is enough.

Step 3:

Since you don’t have a Samsung account yet, tap Add account at the bottom of the screen to advance to the next one.

Step 4:

From the selection of accounts on screen, pick Samsung account, and then tap Create account on the page after that.

Step 5:

You may have to agree to Terms and Conditions, and a Privacy Policy. Read these over, and then accept their terms to continue.

Step: 6:

After agreeing, enter your personal information to continue with the registration. One benefit this method has over others is that you don’t need your date of purchase and serial number to register your device.

Step 7:

After inputting your private information, confirm the account setup with the email you provided, or confirm straight away if given the option. If you don’t have the option to confirm right away, just follow through with the on-screen instruction, and then tap Activate account to start using your new benefits.

How Can I Get Rid of My Samsung Account?

Even though a Samsung account comes with plenty of benefits, like exclusive apps, enhanced customer support, and a better warranty; what if you want to get rid of it? Be warned, if you delete your Samsung account, you lose all account benefits and linked purchases. These cannot be recovered once lost, so make this decision carefully.

Step 1:

There’s only one step here, because Samsung does a great job of showing you how to do this themselves. You have to do this on a PC, but you can find the instructions here. However, I’ll warn you one last time, there’s no going back after deleting your account. You will lose all stored data, benefits, and linked purchases with no way to recover them.

Conclusion

The benefits that come with a Samsung account are well worth the few minutes you have to spend to set one up. A Samsung account can help you recover sensitive information, strengthen your warranty, and give you access to exclusive apps you won’t get anywhere else. If you haven’t setup a Samsung account yet, do yourself a huge favor and sign up today. You’ll only regret that you didn’t do it sooner. Did you have any trouble registering your Samsung devices?
