If you’ve switched from the iPhone or a different brand, (or you just need a refresher) here’s a guide showing you what to do in simple steps. Also, be sure to check our article on Android Screenshot! Let’s get started with the most obvious method.

Method 1: Button Combinations

This is an easy method, which will allow you to take a screenshot using a combination of the physical buttons found on the device. To take a screenshot with the buttons; Have the image that you want to capture ready. Press and hold the Power and Home buttons for a couple of seconds. You’ll hear the shutter sound when it captures the image. You can find the image located in the gallery app on your device.

Method 2: Using Gestures

Gestures haven’t taken off in the way Samsung would have liked, but they still offer another way to take screenshots on your device if you don’t like traditional methods. (These gestures are enabled by default, so you won’t have to do anything to get them working.) Have the image that you want to capture ready. Swipe your entire hand across the device in either direction. (Check the image below if you’re unsure of what to do.) You’ll hear the shutter sound when it captures the image. You can find the image located in the gallery app on your device. If you find yourself struggling, remember that gestures can take some getting used to.

Method 3: Scrolling Screenshots

This is a newer feature which allows for longer screenshots, hence the name. To start a scrolling screenshot; Tap Capture more to begin a scrolling screenshot. Keep tapping until you’ve finished getting as much as you need. You can find the image located in the gallery app on your device. It might take a bit of getting used to, but it’s nice to have more options.
