Problems and Solutions for the Huawei P20 Lite
All phones will have problems no matter how great its build is; the main factor is how you maintain your phone and keep it to its optimal condition. In this list, we’ll show you the common problems encountered by most Huawei P20 Lite users, as well as the standard solutions to these problems. Don’t worry! We have you covered!
1. Battery Drain
The Huawei P20 Lite has a 3000 mAh battery. While it isn’t the best for a smartphone, it’s enough for you to be able to use your phone throughout the day without charging it multiple times. But as with any other phone, the Huawei P20 is also susceptible to software and hardware problems. A big hindrance to portability is the fact that some batteries degrade faster than usual due to a lack of better maintenance.
Solution:
If you can charge your phone to only up to 80%, do so. Overcharging your phone is one of the biggest reasons why batteries degrade faster than usual. So whenever you charge, keep a note of when it’s nearing its full capacity. Also… Switch off features that you don’t use. Reduce the screen resolution of your phone from FHD to HD. Switch off features that you aren’t using, such as WiFi, GPS, Location services, etc. If there is persistence in your problem, check the RAM usage of your phone on the settings and look for the app that uses the most RAM. Delete it and observe if there are improvements.
2. Random Phone Reboots
There are quite several Android phones that have this problem, and it is not uncommon. This problem isn’t localized to just Huawei P20 Lite owners. Viruses, malware, or maybe even a faulty battery, are some of the causes of these random phone reboots. But don’t be afraid! There’s an easy fix to this.
Solution:
One thing you could do is to install an anti-malware device and check your phone for malware. Afterwards, wipe your cache partition. Reboot your phone and check if the problem persists. If your phone still reboots by itself, do a factory reset on your phone. You can do this by accessing Safe Mode. 5. SD Card Stopped Working
Another significant advantage of a lot of android phones is the fact that you can use an SD card to increase your phone’s storage capacity. But, if it fails to work, then this advantage becomes irrelevant, right? So with that said, here’s our solution to this problem!
Solution:
Check to see if the SD card in question is still readable. Plugin your SD card to your computer or your SD card reader and check to see if it’s still working. If it is, then the problem may lie on your phone’s built-in SD card reader. Buy only decent quality SD cards that are compatible with the devices you have. Skimping on a decent quality SD card could give you a bad experience, and you might even lose all your cherished memories as I did.
6. Headphones Don’t Work
It’s not lovely watching movies or series’ out in public without earphones; some people want peace and serenity. Imagine going out and hearing unsolicited music at full blast. It’s going to be annoying. And if for some reason, your headphone jack isn’t working, don’t worry! You don’t have to turn into something you hate!
Solution:
Check if the headphones you’re using is compatible with your device. The problem may be from your headphones instead of your phone. Use another set of earphones and check if it works on your device. If it does, the problem is in the headphones. If it doesn’t, try adjusting the sound settings of your device. You can also try updating your firmware. The cause may also be due to a faulty auxiliary receiver.
7. Microphone Issues

Solution:

Sometimes, the GPS of Android phones malfunction due to buggy apps and software bugs. The GPS of your device is connected to your network, and it may also be caused by an application that uses your network services. Solution:
Reset your network settings and reboot your phone. Try using an app that uses the GPS and check to see if it will work properly. Also, try using the location services at a different place. The signal in your location might be weak.
12. Slow Charging
If your phone is taking more than a few hours charging to full battery, then your phone may have battery problems.
